Met when an egg from the Yumi (via the Breeding Centre) hatched in Pallet Town on 1/1/14 @ level 1. Backburner was a Snoggletogmas gift that he was pretty pleased to get, as he'd been admiring Yumi's own Cyndaquil when they'd met in New Bark Town. While Snotlout is happy to have another thing associated with fire -- especially one that sets itself on fire like a Monstrous Nightmare -- he's not as impressed by Backburner's love of naps. He's the only one that can manage to occasionally sleep through Screamer's racket, and when he can't he tries to shut the owl up with a scuffle.

Met when a hatchling from Envy arrived in Pewter City on 2/3/14 @ level 1. Remembering somewhat fondly his get-rich-quick scheme back home, Snotlout purchased this invisible lizard even if he was told that she probably wouldn't shoot acid. Since then, he's found it extremely difficult to actually own the thing, as Changewing prefers to spend most of her time blending in with her environment. She believes it to be a cool trick, and though she likes to act like a ninja, she is willing to use her power to entertain the little ones or for the good of battle. She is more likely to come out of hiding if Sneeze the Eevee is present.

Met when an egg from the Breeding Centre hatched in Pallet Town on 12/13/13 @ level 1. Though Snotlout had seen a shiny Charizard before, he didn't make a connection between the black of its scales and the gold of his own shiny baby's. Thinking something was wrong with it, Snotlout called to complain but eventually settled when he was told it meant that Firecomb was special. Firecomb's self-esteem took a bit of a dive anyway, and so he glumly started hanging out with Lunch and fell instantly in love. He used to carry the Magikarp around, but unless he was showing her off, he growled at anyone he comes across to make up for not only his weird coloring but for his unusually small teeth and claws. Now he just curls against her neck, content.

Met through a Fateful Encounter in New Bark Town on 12/5/13 @ level 5. Upon meeting Lunch, Snotlout predictably tried to eat her and nearly lost another tooth in the process. Since then, though, he's taken to battling with her quite nicely -- a Magikarp makes a good bludgeon in a crisis, after all, and now she's a strong, fearsome Gyarados! Lunch doesn't seem to mind, if her blank stare is anything to go by, and secretly she's touched that she's become useful to her trainer. She has a fondness for Firecomb the Charmeleon, only wishing that he would be nicer to everyone instead of only her.

Met when an egg from the Breeding Centre hatched in Cerulean City on 3/26/14 @ level 1. The only female Eevee out of the six members of the squad, Heather has a special place in the hearts of all. Even Snotlout has to admit that he has taken a liking to the tiny fox, which is why after a short while he started calling her Heather -- after a friend from home -- instead of her original name, Slacker. She is only very rarely referred to by her full title, and never will it be around people if she is called that. Heather not only has the advantage of being okay at battling, but she can act as moral support for her brothers. The bond Snotlout managed to form with her is what caused her to accept her destiny as a happiness evolution.

Met on Route 3 on 2/9/14 @ level 17. Since a young age, Razorspine has been convinced that he is actually a Dragon-type pokemon. His insistence has lost him many childhood friends and left him quite lonely. When a bumbling Viking came around his home ranting about dragons, he felt a mighty need to join this trainer at all costs. After a scuffle (which he lost because he doesn't have moves like Dragon Claw, which he attempted to use all throughout) Razorspine was overjoyed to find himself hit with a pokeball. Later, when he found out the pokeball was thrown not by Snotlout but by his bratty Pichu, he vowed to become the best dragon he possibly could to prove to his new master how worthy he was.

Met in Mt. Moon on 3/19/14 @ level 14. Rocksnake isn't the brightest bulb in the bunch, but to be fair she has lived her entire life in a series of tunnels. She likes to listen to stories, frequently believing whatever she's told even if it's clearly meant to be fantasy. This has given her a deep love of television and it has become her dream to figure out how to shrink those around her so that they, too, might fit in this fantastic little box. Snotlout's naming of her was incredibly inspired and I don't know what you're talking about.

Met when an egg from Ramza (and Carmen anonymously) hatched in Pallet Town on 12/10/13 @ level 1. The loudest motherfucker. His egg arrived out of nowhere (from...Snotlout's perspective, anyway), hatched while his trainer was away, and he immediately began driving Snotlout insane. Very rarely ever shuts up, cooing or growling instead when he's not making a racket -- and he never sleeps. AT LEAST, THAT WAS THE CASE IN THE PAST. Now Screamer actually tends to be quiet for most of the day, if not the entire day, so that he can one day record sound clips for his idol, DJ Zack Attack, to maybe one day use in future songs.He's incredibly honored by just the very idea of this, and so he's dutifully keeping his promise to stop..."singing". Instead, every few days he finds something new to keep him preoccupied at night. Turns out he's not too bad at the games on the 'gear!

Met when an egg from Belphe (via the Breeding Centre) hatched in Viridian City on 1/13/14 @ level 1. As soon as she hatched, Sharptooth waddled her way into the inn's kitchen and ate three boxes of cereal, a bushel of bananas, and a frying pan. The older -- and bigger -- she gets, the more sensitive she becomes about her weight. This does little to deter her when food is placed in front of her, though. Sharptooth has a fondness for flowers, and a garden is her preferred napping spot.

Met when an egg from the Breeding Centre hatched in Viridian City on 1/4/14 @ level 1. Slug was acquired to contribute to Snotlout's Eevee-only team, created just for the purposes of a bet he is likely to lose. He believes himself to be extremely deep, staring off into the distance for an hour before wistfully announcing a line that could have come straight out of shitty poetry. He has a "spoiled king" attitude, appearing to pity every other Eevee Snotlout owns, and is easily offended. Unfortunately for the other members of the squad, Slug's attitude only got worse when he was the first that Snotlout evolved.

Met when an egg from the Breeding Centre hatched in Viridian City on 1/4/14 @ level 1. Snail was acquired to contribute to Snotlout's Eevee-only team, created just for the purposes of a bet he is likely to lose. Snail is extremely hard on himself, overthinking battles to the point where he loses -- and then, in his frustration, overthinks the next battle. And the next. And the next. He's very miffed by Snotlout frequently calling every Eevee Slug until it's proven that there are not, in fact, Slug -- especially now that Slug isn't even an Eevee! His evolution (and type advantage to Slug) came as a relief.

Met when an egg from the Breeding Centre hatched in Pewter City on 2/26/14 @ level 1. Sneeze was part of the second round of acquisitions for Snotlout's bet against Sho. He's a natural-born parent, immediately taking up the position of caring for his fellow baby pokemon. Oddly for his name, Sneeze is the one on Snotlout's team with the healthiest immune system, and makes visits to the local Pokemon Centers to cheer up any sick pokemon who may need it. He's a bit unwilling to participate in battles, but when he's made to he tries to fight in a way that dispatches the enemy without necessarily hurting them. Quick to recover, he doesn't mind losing.

Met when an egg from the Breeding Centre hatched in Cerulean City on 3/26/14 @ level 1. Snore was one of two last additions to the Eevee squad, and Snotlout's patience for Eevees was already waning by the time he hatched. Gunning to prove that he's not useless, Snore has a thirst for battle that none of the other Eevees seemed to have. His brutish actions and size do little to impress Snotlout and have the side effect of pushing away the other members of the team. Unfortunately, there is little love between trainer and pokemon, and so while Snore was supposed to evolve from happiness, Snotlout had to settle with Snore being destined to become a Leafeon. He's extremely peeved to be the last to evolve.

Met when an egg from the Breeding Centre hatched in Pewter City on 2/26/14 @ level 1. Continuing with Sho's challenge after not being able to buy Eevee eggs for a while, Snotlout was not expecting anything quite like Spike. Even with his first two Eevee Squad members not being the warriors he was hoping for, Spike's prissy attitude was so far off that Snotlout considered passing him off. In his mind, though, Eevees are undesirable and he figured he would never find anyone that would take the fashionista that would become his Jolteon. Spike often gives commentary on his trainer and the rest of Snotlout's team when they're getting ready in the morning, chittering complaints all the while.

Met in Viridian Forest on 1/27/14 @ level 13. Just as Snotlout was realizing he was completely lost in the forest and thinking about calling for help, this Pichu rolled in her sleep and fell out of her tree. Shocked by landing on the boy's head, Thorston immediately delivered a Thunder Shock to his brain, scrambling it enough that he spoke in gibberish for the rest of the day. Now she frequently takes pleasure in repeating these antics as revenge for Snotlout capturing her. For the first day and a half, Thorston was referred to as "This Little Asshole". Well, the gibberish equivalent to it, at least.

Met in Viridian Forest on 1/23/14 @ level 11. Worm was stuck to Snotlout's back for several hours before he was noticed, and when he was the Viking kind of...freaked out. It was surprising. In his brief, embarrassing panic, Snotlout chucked a pokeball at the Wurmple and caught him. His training was done without enthusiasm -- and now that Worm is a Beautifly it will be continued only grudgingly. Luckily for the butterfly, he's actually a powerhouse in disguise.
